| Anom Ind | Indicates (Y/N) a subjective judgement that the water level or salinity reading is anomalous. |
| Anomalous | Under Graph Filter, click the Anomalous check box to include or exclude anomalous readings from the graph and calculations.
|
| Aquifer | A code or concatenation of codes identifying the aquifer(s) in which a water well has been completed. See Aquifer Monitored Codes on the Code Definitions page. |
| Class | Identifies the class (or type) of the well. A well may have multiple classes. See also Well or Monitoring Point Classification Codes on the Code Definitions page. |
| Data Source | Code identifying the group or agency who collected, or was responsible for, the collection of the record. Applies to Water Level, Salinity, Well Yield and Water Chemistry records.
See Data Source Codes on the Code Definitions page. |
| Dry Ind | Indicates (Y) whether the well was dry at the time of observation. |
| DTW | Depth to Water below Reference Point (generally top of well casing) |
| Graph Filter | Use the following options to filter the points on the graph:
- EC or TDS: Toggle between EC and TDS values (Salinity only).
- Date: Type start and/or end dates in the format dd/mm/yyyy.
- Value: Type minimum and/or maximum water level or salinity values according to the relevant graph.
- Anomalous: Show/hide anomalous readings.
- Pumping: Show/hide pumping readings (Water Level only).
Filter options are applied dynamically, as soon as you tab or click away from the field.
|
| Join Points | Click to join the points on the graph. Note that some wells have significant time gaps between readings and this may lead to misinterpretation of trends. |
| Measured During | Code identifying the activity during which the measurement was recorded. Applies to Water Level, Salinity, Well Yield and Water Chemistry records.
See Measured During Codes on the Code Definitions page. |
| Name | Name of the well, if available.
Also shown on the Water Chemistry tab as the name of the chemical (analyte) corresponding to the chemical code.
|
| Network(s) | Code identifying one or more observation networks to which the well is associated, if applicable. |
| Obs Date | Observation Date. The date on which the reading was measured. Relevant to:
- Water Level details: Depth To Water (DTW) or pressure.
- Well Yield details: Yield measurement.
|
| Obswell No. | Unique code identifying the water well as an observation well, i.e. monitored for water levels. An observation well is associated with the relevant Obswell Network.
Not all water wells are observation wells. |
| Permit No. | Well construction permit number applicable to the drilling/contruction activity.
The Summary details show only the last permit number issued. |
| Pressure | The shut in pressure measured on an artesian well. |
| Previous/Next | Available when multiple wells are found. Click to navigate to the details of the previous or next well. |
| Pump Ind | Pump indicator (Y/N) identifying whether water was being extracted (pumped) at the time of the reading. |
| Pumping | Under Graph Filter, click the Pumping check box to include or exclude pumping readings from the graph and calculations. |
| Pumping & Anomalous | Graph plot that indicates a reading with both anomalous and pumping indicators of Y (Yes). |
| Pumping Ind | Pumping Indicator. Indicates (Y/N) whether the water level reading was affected by either pumping occurring in the well, pumping occurring in nearby wells or that pumping had recently ceased. |
| RSWL (m AHD) | Reduced Standing Water Level measured in meters AHD (Australian Height Datum). The elevation of the water level is calculated by subtracting the Depth to Water (DTW) from the reference elevation. A negative value indicates that the water level is below mean sea level.
The Summary details shows only the latest observed RSWL reading and date. |
| SWL (m) | Standing Water Level (meters) recorded for the water well. This is the distance from the ground surface to the water surface. A negative value indicates that the water level is above ground level.
The Summary details shows only the latest observed SWL and date. |
| Temp (oC) | The maximum temperature (deg. Celcius) of the water in the drillhole prior to shut in. Typically measured only in artesian wells. |
| Unit Number | First component of the Unit Number is a unique number for the 100,000 map sheet on which a drillhole is located. Second component of the Unit Number is a unique number identifying the drillhole on the 1:100,000 map sheet |
